Яркая исполнительница с огромным сценическим опытом. Солистка Пражской и Римской Государственных опер, Лауреат Международного вокального конкурса Оttaviozino, Международного вокального конкурса им.Антонина Дворжака в Карловых Варах и других вокальных конкурсов. 

 

BIOGRAPHY

DANA PĚNKAVA KOKLESOVÁ was born in Slovakia. She studied opera singing and operetta & musical acting at The State Conservatory in Košice in Slovakia, with prof. Eliška Pappová and Emilia Chudovská. After graduation of her studies she was in engagements of several music theatres in Czech Republic and Slovakia: National Theatre in Brno, Nová Scéna-Bratislava, DJZ-Prešov, DJGT-Zvolen, Severočeské Divadlo Opery a Baletu in Ústí n. Labem, State Opera Prague.

She was participant of these vocal competitions: Antonín Dvořák´s International vocal competition in Karlovy Vary — Czech Republic, Concorso Lirico Internazionale „Ottavio Zino“ in Roma, Italy.
She continued privatly in her opera training in Prague with prof. Magdaléna Hajossyová, Mrs. Gabriela Beňačková and in recent time with Mrs. Elen Raditcheva.

Within 2001 – 2008 year she has been four times with State Opera Prague in Japan Tour in roles First Dame: Die Zauberflote, Annina: La Traviata, alongside Norah Amselem, Il Pastore: Tosca, alongside Eva Marton, at the Salzburger Festspiele too.

In her repertoire are roles as Violetta Valery: La Traviata, as guest at the SND in Bratislava-Slovakia, at the Severočeské Divadlo Opery a Baletu in Ústí n.Labem. — Czech Republic.

She has appeared as Donna Anna: Don Giovanni at the Prague Estates Theatre: three times in summer stagione, alongside Adam Plachetka. She performed part of Micaela: Carmen at the Prague State Opera, Severočeské Divadlo Opery a Baletu in Ústí n.Labem. As First Dame /Die Zauberflote/ at the Prague State Opera, Seoul Arts Center, as priestess Anna Nabucco at the Prague State Opera, at the National Theatre in Brno, Czech Republic. She has appeared as Seller Of Strawberries: B. Britten´s Death In Venice at the Prague State Opera, alongside Alan Oke, as Shepherdess/E. H. Grieg´s Peer Gynt in the Prague State Opera, as First Nymph Rusalka in Prague State Opera.

Her succesfull opera performing was in Puccini´s Turandot as Turandot at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc — Czech Republic and in her debut in Donizetti´s Maria Stuarda in State opera Banská Bystrica in Slovakia.

Within the framework of classic festival „Strings of autumn“ she has taken part in live radio broadcasting by contemporary composer Henry Duttileux in his song cycle: Corespondances, with Filharmonic orchestra in Hradec Králové, alongside Mrs. Gabriela Beňačková. She also devotes concert activities. She sung part of Widow-.M. Bartholdy Oratorio Eliah, Nelsson Mass by J. Haydn, Mass by CH. Gounod.
From operetta roles she performed as Hana Glawary / Merry Widow/ at the SDOB in Ústí n. Labem.

Dana Pěnkava Koklesová has worked with conductors such as Giorgio Crocci, Guilleme Tourniere, Enrico Dovico, Marco Zambelli, Petr Šumník, Jiří Kotouč, David Švec, J. Chalupecký, Peter Selecký, Richard Hein Leoš Svárovský,Tvrtko Karlovic, Marek Valášek.
With directors such as: Maestro Gianfranco de Bosio, Pierre Luigi Pizzi, David Poutney, Arnaud Bernard,Yoshi Oida, Zdeněk Troška, Jozef Bednárik, Stanislav Moša,Václav Málek.
